The Staff Cadet Mess Dinner

The Mess dinner has evolved over the years, in the 1960s and 70s there were no mess dinners. Each company's staff  towards the end of camp would have a social gathering at a restaurant in town. Other company's staff  would supervise that company for the evening. In the mid 1980s the practice changed and became a gathering of staff cadet and senior officers in the officer's mess. It appears by these pictures that the mess dinner may have occurred just before the arrival of the course cadets as none appear in the background of any of the photos.
