A 408 Squadron Twin Huey from CFB Edmonton lands at the camp, Aug 1979. As was the practice for a number of years, a Huey and Kiowa helicopter would spend a week at the camp giving familiarization flights to most of the cadets. There was no greater thrill for a cadet than to take a flight, even if only 15 minutes over Kal Lake, Rattlesnake Point and the city of Vernon it self. (Phil Edge)
