Until the mid 1950s, the camp had no official band, Mil or Pipes & Drums. However, the local civilian Vernon Girl's Macintosh Pipe Band filled the need for music on at least one occasion. Note C40 (Headquarters) in background. More research is needed (Greater Vernon Museum and Archives)

Remarkably we have names of most the members of the pipe band! We sure would like to know more, ladies please contact us if you can help. We're honoured that you're part of our history.
