In accordance with the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle, French troops march into Louisbourg to repossess it from the New Englanders who had taken it in 1745.




23 July 1918
Prisoners of war escape from Holzminder prison camp and try to make their way to Holland. Of the 29 who make the attempt, 10 succeed, among them Lt. J.G. Colquoun of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.
