Cdt Krystin LeClair 788 British Columbia Dragoons, RC(Army)CC Penticton, BC is one of the contestants on the Vernon Camp Idol, a member of Bravo Company, this is her second summer at Vernon. This evening, she sang Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon" to the roar of approval from her peers and with good reason, "I didn't really know what to sing tonight. I had only two minutes notice and I was nervous, but I chose Fly Me To The Moon because Frank Sinatra is one of my favourite singers". Cdt LeClair has been singing opera since the age of 5 when her mother took her to see her first opera Carmen. Since then she has completed her grade10 in the Royal Conservatory of Music, practicing at least 2 hours a day with weekly lessons of several hours. She has been in cadets four years but only began playing snare drum just a month ago, already she is a level three drummer in Bravo Company, which she attributes to her training in singing. Starting grade 12 in high school this fall, she sees herself touring and singing around Europe in 5 or six years after she has completed a university degree in music. If you can, catch her singing, she has a remarkable voice.

Heading over to Coutt's Common.
