C/CSM Heather Jewer Company Sergeant Major for
Bravo Company is in her 6th year of cadets this September, having
spent 5 summers in Vernon and 1 summer at Rocky. She joined cadets
because her older sister was also a cadet. C/CSM Jewer - "I
joined cadets to make friends and do all the cool stuff my sister
was doing. My favourite memory is week three at Rocky during the
kayaking, even though I was terrified, I still did it. It definitely
stands out as the most important memory. My mom is my inspiration,
she sends me letters and care packages and keeps me going. In my
third year I was fed but she kept me going. My corps, the Seaforth,
has given me lot of pride. It's tough spending three nights a week
at cadets but I love it." C/CSM Jewer will be leaving cadets in
November and taking the Katimavik program and maybe travel the world
after that.
