... and to the most challenging obstacle, the single strand rope bridge, requiring the cadet to balance on the rope, lean forward and then lie across the rope 25 feet above the ground
...and then pull himself along using upper body strength and balance...
...finally at the last platform...
...once on the last platform, the safety lines are swapped one last time...
...and it's a fast zip line down to earth.

At Bennett's Ranch, several platoons are on the ground training, a shaft of light illuminates the HQ tent in the late afternoon.

After supper several scenarios are prepared for training. 1 Section 30 Platoon Guard Company tackles the Search and Rescue component.
Finding an "injured" hiker, they immediately go through a series of tasks in order to complete the exercise.

1500 Iroquois warriors cross Lac St. Louis (at Montreal) and attack the settlements at Lachine, killing 24 settlers and taking almost 90 prisoners.
4 August 1814An American strike force of 700 regulars and Ohio militia is repulsed by 150 British troops and local native allies outside Ft. Michilimackinac (confluence of lakes Michigan and Huron).
4 August 1914Great Britain declares war on Germany; the First World War begins. Canada, as a member of the British Empire, is automatically at war.
