Based at Round Lake Sask. Saskadet was unique along with Camp Wright in
Alberta in that it served briefly as a two-basic camps in the late 1970s
and into the mid 1980s filling a need that could not be filled by
Vernon. 3 intakes over six weeks kept staff and cadets busy. Ultimately
the Vernon, Penhold and other camps were able to absorb the extra two
week spaces that Saskadet had. Today the camp serves as a weekend FTX
camp with space for up to 180 all ranks.
