Situated in the Saint John River in Woodstock NB. Island Park was a
small island in the middle of the river. The camp was a short
lived camp ran in at least 1942 from Aug 31 to Sept 5. It may have also
run in other summers as it also served the local militia units. In the 1960s the Mactaquac Dam
was built flooding the river and island in 1968. A cairn now sits in
front of Woodstock High School commemorating Island Park.
