1943-1961
Situated south of Saskatoon, Dundurn Trades Training Camp and later Army
Cadet Camp served the cadets of Prairie region from WWII until 1961.
After 1961, those cadets from Saskatchewan, Manitoba and NW Ontario
trained at Vernon. The camp served as a cadet camp for 18 years.
Today, Dundurn still is a
military base used by the reserve and regular force. Most of it's 1940s buildings
including the famous swimming pool are gone.
