History -
Formed 1 Jun 1901 as Uxbridge High School Company, and affiliated with The Ontario Regiment (RCAC) since 1942. Uxbridge High School Cadet Corps. affil.: 2nd (R) Bn the Ontario Regt Nov 6 1942. Effective 1 Mar 1964 the Corps redesignated to Uxbridge Secondary School Cadet Corps. Letter 1085-11 (DCOS Pers) dated 2 Aug 1974 placed Corps on probation until 31 Jan 1975. The 1975 annual inspection report continued probation until 31 Jan 76 at which time probation was removed. Letter 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 31 Jul 1984 placed Corps again on probation due to an insufficient number of cadets until Jan 1985. D Cdts Msg 1445 of 28 Nov 1985 authorized change of sponsor from Uxbridge Secondary School to Branch 170, The Royal Canadian Legion, Uxbridge, Ontario.
