History -
The Corps was formed 23 May 1900 as St Catherines Collegiate Institute Cadet Corps. affil.: 19th St.Catherines Regt, Apr 30, 1912. Affili: 19th Lincoln Regt. 1914? It was sponsored by The Board of Education and affiliated by The Lincoln and Welland Regiment. The designation changed to St Catherines Collegiate Institute and Vocational School Cadet Corps but there is no record of this. affil.: 2nd (R) Bn The Lincoln and Welland Regiment Nov 6, 1942. Cdts 449 message dated 6 Jun 73 states sponsor change to Lincoln and Welland Regt. At same time change of designation to Lincoln and Welland Regiment Cadet Corps.
Niagara Regional Police Department were co-sponsors but are no longer.
