History -
62 Hamilton Collegiate Institute Cadet Corps was originally formed 8 Mar 1900, and affiliated with the 13th Regiment, later with R Hamilton Regiment May 12, 1922. It disbanded 11 Jan 1951.
This corps was formed 28 Feb 50 and known as 2379 Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Cadet Corps. It is affiliated and sponsored by the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. On 30 Oct 89 2379 requested that the corps be allocated No 62 in order to perpetuate the history of No 62. (The number 2379 was then allocated to a new corps formed in Burlington in 1991.)see #2379 CC for more info.
