History -
This Corps was formed 17 Apr 1913 as the Winnipeg Highland Cadet Battalion with six companies. Effective 6 March 1914, the Battalion was affiliated with the 79th Cameron Highlanders of Canada. A cycle company was formed in 1914, and a signalling company in 1921. redisig: Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders Cadet Corps 1930. The Corps was redesignated 31 Jan 1931 as the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada Cadet Battalion. Effective 3 Jun 83 sponsorship changed to Norwood and St. Boniface Branch 43, Royal Canadian Legion. Letter sent 5 Apr 93 regarding corps history. Order of Eagles added as sponsor/co-sponsor 94/95 annual report (no authorization).
