History
This Corps was formed 22 Sep 71 and sponsored by Slave Lake Petroleum Association and affiliated with Loyal Edmonton Regiment. It was designated 2890 Slave Lake Army Cadet Corps. In Dec 72 the sponsor requested a change of designation and affiliation. The Corps became known as 2890 Loyal Edmonton Regt (4 PPCLI) Cadet Corps. It was affiliated with 4 PPCLI. Slave Lake Petroleum Club appears to be the sponsoring body in name only and Br 110 Royal Canadian Legion being totally responsible for financial assistance.
