 This Corps was originally formed in Dec 69 as 2860 Fort Simpson Cadet Corps under the sponsorship of Fort Simpson Community Club. The affiliated unit was Loyal Edmonton Regiment (3 PPCLI). The Corps was disbanded 6 Oct 76.

The corps reformed 8 September 1986 as 2860 Fort Simpson Lion's Army Cadet Corps under the sponsorship of Fort Simpson Lion's Club. Affiliation is with Northern Region Headquarters and the corps is supported by CFB Edmonton.
