History -
This Corps was formed 25 Nov 68 under the sponsorship of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 164. Affiliation was with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment. A cadet corps existed in Yellowknife in Jan 53 but was disbanded in May 58 due to a lack of instructors. The Corps was 2453 and designated as 24th Field Squadron RCE.
Effective 1 Jan 84 change of affiliation to Canadian Forces Parachute Maintenance Depot. 95/96 and 96/97 annual reports list Royal Cdn Legion Br 164 as sponsor and Royal Oak Giant Mines as co-sponsor.
Effective 19 Jan 2000, affiliated unit changed to read, Jump Company, Third Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (Edmonton)
