History -
This Corps was initially raised in the fall of 1967 and formed 22 Nov 68 and designated 25th Field Squadron RCE Cadet Corps. In 6 Sep 72 there was a change in designation to 8th Field Engineer Regiment RCE Cadet Corps. On 11 Jun 75 D Cdts 524 message stated change in sponsorship to Jasper Place (Alta) Branch 255, Royal Canadian Legion, Jasper Place. In the 1976 annual inspection report the Corps was placed on probation until 31 Dec 76 due to low strength. Eff l Nov 77 probation was cancelled. Eff 6 Nov 80 there was a change in affiliation to 745 (Edm) Communication Squadron and change in designation to 745 (Edm) Communication Squadron Cadet Corps.
Eff 22 Apr 99 (D Cdts Adm 175) affiliated unit changed to 1 Combat Engineer Regiment.
