History -
This Corps was formed 1 October 1963 under the sponsorship of the Inuvik Federal School. It was affiliated with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment (3 PPCLI). On 17 May 1972 (D Cdts 308 message), the Corps changed affiliation to CFSRS Inuvik. At some time sponsorship changed to Branch 220, Royal Canadian Legion, McInnes but there is no documentation on this change. 1985-CFS Inuvik closing; affiliation changed to Northern Region Headquarters; no documentation.
Eff 20 Sep 1995 the designation Inuvik Cadet Corps changed to Inuvik Signals Army Cadet Corps. Affiliation changed to 742 Comm Sqn Edmonton (D Cdts Adm 630).
