Oxford Regional High School Cadet Corps was formed 1 Sep 55 under the sponsorship of the Board of School Commissioners Oxford Regional High School and affiliated with 1st Battalion, The Nova Scotia Highlanders (North). affil.: 1st Bn Nova Scotia Highlanders, Sept 1, 1955. The Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 36 (Oxford) became Co-Sponsor in Sep 87 (D Cdts Msg 1785 of 281415Z Sep 87) CF 790 96/97 lists Cumberland District School Board vice Oxford Reg High school Board as one of the co-sponsors, no auth.
