This Corps was formed 30 Aug 54 as 71st Fd Bty (SP) Cadet Corps and sponsored and affiliated with 26th Fd Regt (SP) RCA. affil.: 71st Bty (SP) Artillery, Aug 30, 1954. Effective 12 Apr 60 affiliation was transferred to 26th Fd Arty Regt (SP), and again, effective 1 Dec 64 it was changed to 26th Fd Arty Regt and unit redesignated as 71st Field Battery RCA (Militia) Cadet Corps.
