Corps de Cadets Ecole St.Joseph de Bourlamaque. redisig: Bishop Desmarais High School Cadet Corps. Originally formed in Oct 1952 under the sponsorship of the School Board the corps was designated as 2440 Bishop Desmarais High School Cadet Corps. redisig: Val d'Or-Bourlamaque Cadet Corps, Oct 23, 1952. affil.: 9th Indep. Field Sqn, RCE, Oct 23, 1952. In Dec 1953 the Corps was redesignated as 2440 Corps de Cadets École St Joseph de Vourlamaque. In Nov 1961 sponsorship of the corps was assumed by Royal Canadain Legion and the corps became known as 2440 Canadian Legion Val d'Or - Bourlamaque Cadet Corps. The Corps was affiliated with 9th Field Squadron RCE. In Oct 1972 request was made to disband the Corps effective 30 Oct 1972.
