2381 RCEME Cadet Corps formed 6 March 1950, and was affiliated with RCEME 5th Division. In 1955 affiliation changed to 8th Tech Regt RCEME who also assumed the sponsorship in 1956. Disbandment occured 1 Oct 60.

History -
On 6 Mar 62 the Corps reformed, sponsored by 8th Tech Regt RCEME. In 1965 designation changed to 'A' Sqn 8th Technical Regiment RCEME Cadet Corps. Message Cdts 1077 dated 21 Dec 71 changed sponsor and affiliation to Vancouver Militia Service Battalion. Effective 21 Dec 71 designation changed to Vancouver Militia Service Battalion Cadet Corps. On 15 Apr 76 (DCdts 336) sponsor changed to Thunderbird Security Systems. Effective 1 Feb 79 designation changed to Irish Fusiliers of Canada Cadet Corps. Effective 7 Feb 79 change of affiliation to Irish Fusiliers of Canada Association, who also assumed sponsorship. Effective 1 Jan 81 co-sponsorship was assumed Branch 44, Royal Canadian Legion.possible flocked shoulder flash
On October 1st 1962 2381 RCACC was formed. The unit paraded near what is now the Jericho lands for the Canadian Forces. When the unit was formed it was affiliated with the 8th Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers. 9 years later, in 1976 the Cadet Corps changed affiliation, again. This time 2381 became part of the Vancouver Militia Service Battalion Family. This was short lived, as in 1976 the unit joined Vancouver Thunderbird Security Unit. Yet again, in 1979 the Cadet Corps found its affiliation being changed. 2381 became affiliated with the Irish Fusiliers of Canada, following the two previous Cadet Corps to hold this honour. Effective on the 1st of January 1981 the sponsorship was shared with the Vancouver T.B. (Pacific No. 44) Branch, The Royal Canadian Legion.
On 25 June 2002, The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own) was officially amalgamated with the Irish Fusilier of Canada from the supplementary Order of Battle to form a new Regiment known as The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught's Own). As such, the name of the Corps changed to 2381 BCR (Irish Fusiliers) RCACC.
In November, 2005 the Corps original banner was retired and the Cadet Governor of the Regiment presented 2381 with a new official Corps banner.
