History -
North Bay High School Cadet Corps was formed 28 Feb 1914. B Coy was formed 7 Dec 1914. affil.: 2nd Bn Algonqin Regt Nov 6, 1942. Effective 1 Feb 1944, the Corps redesignated as North Bay Collegiate Institute and Vocational School Cadet Corps. On 1 Nov 1957 due to a change in the name of the school, the Corps redesignated as Algonquin Composite School Cadet Corps. Effective 1 Jan 1969 the Corps again redesignated as Algonquin Cadet Corps.
Eff 16 October 1996 corps was placed on probation until the 1997 Annual Ceremonial Review due to concern regarding the unit's viability with particular regard to the quality of training being provided. H.Q. 12-N-18
