History -
This Corps was formed 27 November 1940 but due to lack of interest from the sponsors, it was disbanded in 1947. possible flocked shoulder flash WWII
Effective 1 September 1956 the Corps reformed as 1746 Creston Valley Cadet Corps. On Feb 1, 1959 it became affiliated with the 17th Fd Sqn RCE (M). A memo 1087-11-5324/1087-11-5349 (D Cdts 3) dated 28 October 1975 states a change of affiliation to 44th Fd Sqn. D Cdts 771 message dated 24 August 1979 changed base support from CFB Chilliwack to CFB Calgary. Message D Cdts 906 dated 27 June 1985 changed affiliation to 1 Service Battalion. It is sponsored by Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 29, Creston, (no auth?). H.Q. 12-C-159
