Brig Murphy Armoury, a familiar sight to cadets attending VACSTC, the armoury is used for many functions including first aid training and the occasional movie nights.

History -
This Corps was formed 7 November 1940 as the Vernon High School Cadet Corps. The corps was disbanded 3 December 1947. 1 Oct 1962 A Company of 903 Cadet Corps, which was affiliated with the 9th Recce Regt (BC Dragoons) was redesignated 1705 The British Columbia Dragoons (Vernon) Cadet Corps. (903 was formed 4 Dec 1947). 1705 was sponsored and affiliated with the British Columbia Dragoons. According to the 1980 insurance statistics the Corps was placed on probation. Effective 3 November 1982 the Corps was co-sponsored by Unit No. 5, Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans, Vernon.
Note: Anniversary date changed 1 Aug 1997 to reflect disbandment date of 3 Dec 1947 (CAO 54)
