History - 

This corps has possible roots in the early 1860's as a Rifle Company in St-Hyacinthe (Militia). 28 Nov 1879, the College of St. Hyacinthe Drill Company was formed. In 1904, it was allocated the number 1, and called a cadet corps, College of St. Hyacinthe Cadet Corps. From 1911 to 1944, the corps was of Battalion strength. In 1944, the corps was redesignated 1 C de C Séminaire de St Hyacinthe. The corps disbanded 31 March 1948.

Effective 2 Jan 1960 the Corps reformed as 2650 Corps de Cadets du 6e Bataillon, Royal 22e Régiment. It affiliated and was sponsored by this Regiment, St-Hyacinthe.

Effective Jan 1966 the Corps was renumbered as 1 Corps de Cadets du 6e Bataillon Royal 22e Regiment.
