History -
This Corps was formed 13 December 1921 as Merritt Cadet Corps. It was sponsored and affiliated with Rocky Mountain Rangers since 1948. affil.: Rocky Mountain Rangers, Sept 24, 1948. According to the annual inspection reports the sponsor changed to Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 96, Merritt and co-sponsor as BPO Elks, No. 441 (no documentation). Effective 1 January 1981 the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 96 assumed full sponsorship. Designation has changed to Rocky Mountain Cadet Corps with no authorization.
