History -   

713 (corps was originally formed in April 1917 and disbanded in May 1944). Number 713 has been allocated to this corps to honour the memory of Field Marshal Haig who was a staunch supporter of Army Cadets.

713 Hants West Rural High School Cadet Corps, Brooklyn, Hants County, N.S. is authorized effective 1 Sep 93. It is sponsored by Branch 9, Royal Canadian Legion and affiliated with B Coy, West Nova Scotia Regt. Support Base is CFB Halifax. Eff 26 Jan 95 corps was disbanded (D Cdts Adm 057 refers).
