Formed 22 June 1916 (MO 256/16) on the disbandment of #143 16th Light Horse Mounted Cadet Regiment, where this Corps had been F Squadron. The Corps remained affiliated with 16th Light Horse and 16th Canadian Light Horse until it's disbandment effective 23 February 1928 (MO 241/28).
