History -

Vankleek Hill High School Cadet Corps was originally formed 6 Dec 1899. After 30 years of intense activity, it was disbanded 16 December 1933.

The Corps reorganized 8 Oct 1940 as Vankleek Hill Collegiate Cadet Corps, and later changed to Vankleek Hill District Collegiate Institute Cadet Corps. It was sponsored by Prescott Russell County Board of Education and affiliated with Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders Oct 29, 1942. The Corps was placed on probation Mar 1975 until 30 Jun 1975. No improvement shown, hence probation was extended. Effective 26 Sep 1975 change of sponsor to Branch 472, Royal Canadian Legion, Hawkesbury. Probation was removed in 1976.
