History -
Originally formed 10 Nov 1914 as Aberdeen School Cadet Corps. affil.: 8th Field Bty CA Feb 3, 1926. In 1935, the corps changed its name to Moncton High School Cadet Corps (1326 King George Corps took the name Aberdeen School Cadet Corps). Affiliation: 19th (R) Army Tank Bn. Mar 17, 1943. In 1959, the 64th LAA Regt (N.B. Regt), Affiliation: 2nd Bn Royal New Brunswick Regt (North Shore), Jan 1, 1960. In Jan 1966 the Corps was redesignated as Moncton Army Cadet Corps and sponsored by Board of School Trustees, School District No. 15 and affiliated with 32 (Moncton) Service Battalion. Message 1087-11-5841 (D Cdts 6) (D Cdts 623) dated 11 May 84 approved co-sponsorship with the Board of School Trustees, School District No. 15 and Kiwanis Club of Moncton Inc. Eff 16 Feb 96 affiliation changed to 8th Canadian Hussars (D Cdt Adm 107). see 2684 CC, 2747 CC for further info.
