History -
The Corps was formed with A and B Coys effective 16 October 1913 (MO 501/13). C Coy was formed on 11 November 1913 (MO 560/13) followed by D Coy on 19 June 1917 (MO 180/17). The Corps was designated upon formation as #459 Prince Albert Public Schools Cadet Corps. On 29 December 1920 (MO 505/20) the Corps was re designated as a Battalion. E Coy (Prince Edward School) was formed on 30 November 1921 (MO 586/21).
With the disbandment of C Coy (Connaught School) on 9 March 1932 (MO 199/32); B Coy (Queen Mary School) on 21 August 1936 (MO 148/36); and; A Coy on 3 November 1938 (MO 451/38), the Corps was re designated #459 King George School Cadet Corps.
The Corps was affiliated to 105th Regiment (Saskatoon Fusiliers) until 1920; The North Saskatchewan Regiment until 1924; The Prince Albert Volunteers until 1936; and effective 15 February 1937 to The Prince Albert and Battleford Volunteers. In June of 1941, re organization of the Reserve Force brought about a change of affiliation to the Prince Albert Volunteers.
