History -
Corps originally formed 7 Apr 1914 as "The High School Cadet Corps". The Corps re-organized on 18 Oct 1940 and known as Glencoe High School Cadet corps. Original No 408 formed as St. Albans Co Church Lads Brigade, Montreal, QC - disbanded 11 Jan 1924. affil.: 1st Bn (R) Middlesex & Huron Regt Oct 30, 1942. Eff 3 Feb 53 Corps was affiliated with 31st field Regt RCA. Change of affiliation on 1 Jun 56 to 7th Field Regt RCA. Again affiliation was changed to 1st Hussars - date unknown post 1962. Due to withdrawal of support by the Middlesex County Board of education and the Area Cadet Officer unable to find a new sponsor, corps was disbanded 1 dec 1970.
