2290 R.H.L.I. Milton Army Cadet Corps was formed 1 Feb 83. It was sponsored by the Halton Argicultural Society and affiliated with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (The Wentworth Regiment) and supported by CFB Toronto. Effective 2 Aug 85 (D Cdts msg 1084) sponsor changed to Branch 136 Royal Canadian Legion, Milton. Eff 12 Aug 96 affiliation changed to The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regt) (D Cdts Adm 686 refers). On 1 May 1998, the official designation of the Corps was changed to The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment) Army Cadet Corps.
