History -   

2970 Fort Providence Cadet Corps was formed 1 Sep 1979. It was sponsored by Fort Providence Lions Club and affiliated with Northern Region Headquarters. According tot he 1981 annual inspection report the Corps was placed on probation for one year effective 1 Sep 1981 due to failure to hold an annual inspection. Letter NR 1087-2(SO Cdts) dated 4 Jan 83 removed probation. Eff 24 May 1983 the Corps was placed on probation until 1 Nov 1983 due to a lack of Senior officers and cadets.
