This Corps was formed 15 Jul 1979 as Christian Island Indian Cadet Corps and sponsored by Beausoleil Band Council and affiliated with CFSIS. According to the 1981 strength returns the Corps was placed on probation. 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 12 Sep 83 again placed the corps on progation due to a lack of cadets until the 1984 annual inspection.
