History -   

This Corps was formed 1 Jun 1974 and known as Mattice cadet Corps. It was sponsored by the Spruce Dale Lumber co. Ltd and affiliated with the Algonquin Regt. Letter 1085-11-4 (Cos Reg Ops) states that due to inactivity, lack of cadets and failure to hold an annual inspection the Corps was placed on probation until after the 1981 annual inspection. The corps was disbanded 15 May 1981.
