History -
Sudbury Army Cadet Corps was formed 1 Feb 73 under the sponsorship of the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Association. No affiliation was assumed at the time of formation. Message Unclas Cdts 3502 dated 29 Jan 76 stated 2nd Battalion Irish Regiment of Canada as affiliated unit. Effective 22 Jan 76 change of sponsorship to Sudbury Regional Police Association. Effective 1 Feb 76 change of designation to Sudbury Irish Cadet Corps.
