This corps was formed 1 May 1970 under the sponsorship of St Jean Collegiate School, St Jean, MB. No 2864 was alloted to this unit. It was affilaited with CFB Winnipeg MB. Due to an error (Duplication of Corps number) the number of the corps was amended to read 2889 eff 13 Sep 1971. Effective 1 Mar 1973 change of designation to 2889 St Jean Cadet Corps. Eff 1 Sep 1974 change of deisgnation to 2889 Morris Legion Army Cadet corps, Morris, MB and change of sponsor to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 11.
