 This Corps was formed 1 May 70 and designated the 56th Field Artillery Regiment Cadet Corps. It was sponsored and affiliated with the 56th Fd Arty Regt RCA (M). This Corps was placed on probation due to an insufficient number of cadets for a six month period beginning 1 Oct 73 (see letter 1085-11 (DCOS Pers)). Later in the 1973-74 training year, the No. 53 and No. 2835 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps was amalgamated into the No. 2835 RC (Army) CC. D Cdts Admin 1679 of 291500Z Sep 88 authorized the Co-Sponsorship of this Cadet Corps with the British Canadian Veterans Association (Imperials) of Niagara Falls, Ontario.
