History -
2822 Surrey-Delta Cadet Corps was formed 30 September 1967 under the sponsorship of Newton Branch Pacific 175, Royal Canadian Legion and affiliated with 85 Battery RCA. Letter 1000-12/2822 (Cdts) dated 31 Oct 73 changed affiliation from 15 Fd Regt RCA to the Royal Westminster Regiment. Capt Fred Allcott Joined unit in 1975, retired in 1982. Parents Committee took over sponsorship from R.C. Legion 87 without authorization. Eff 01 Mar 96 sponsor changed to The 78th Fraser Highlanders (D Cdts Adm 192).
Effective 7 May 1998, sponsorship of the Corps was changed to the 2822 RCACC Parent's Group and the official designation was changed to The Royal Westminster Regiment Cadet Corps.
