This Corps was formed 26 Nov 66 as Fort McMurray Legion Cadet Corps. It was sponsored by Branch 165, Royal Canadian Legion, Fort McMurray and affiliated with 20 Fd Regt RCA (M). 1087-1/2803 (SSO CDTS) dated 23 Apr 79 letter changed affiliation to 8 Fd Engr Regt. Eff 12 Jul 84 (see letter 1087-11 (Det Comd)) the Corps was placed on probation for a period of probation of not less than six months due to low strength.
