History -
This Corps was formed 1 Nov 63 as 5 Column RCASC Cadet Corps, sponsored and affiliated with 5 Column Royal Canadian Service Corps (Militia). Effective 27 Apr 65 change of designation to 1st Toronto Service Battalion Cadet Corps - sponsored and affiliated with same. A message Cdts 348 dated 30 Jan 73 changed sponsor to Toronto Dufferin Lions Club. A letter 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 7 Sep 77 placed Corps on probation due to lack of officers and inefficient operations. Probation was extended until 24 Jan 78 at which time probation was removed. 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 13 Oct 83 placed Corps on probation due to overall inefficient operations until the 1984 annual inspection. Effective 30 Jun 84 probation was removed (Letter 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 31 Jul 84 refers).
