History -
Originally formed 1 Jan 1962 as No 2699 Corps de Cadets du Regiment de Joliette under the sponsorship of 'Le Service des Loisirs de St Simon et St Jude de Charlemagne. affil.: Le Regt de Joliette, Jan 1, 1962. The Corps was affiliated with the Regiment de Jiliette. In Feb 1965 the 4e Bn R22eR took over the sponsorship and the Corps became known as the Corps de Cadets de Charlemagne. Some time after 1965 the corps was redesignated as Corps de Cadets de l'École Régionale J.B. Meilleur. In Sep 1968 the Corps was placed in probation and since it was inactive for almost 3 years the corps was disbanded effective 15 Aug 1971.
