History -
This Corps was originally formed 5 Jan 1959 under the sponsorship of l'École Secondaire Simon-Sanquinet and became known as 2636 corps de Cadets Simon Sanquinet. The corps affiliated with Le Regiment de Maisonneuve. In Jan 1960 the affiliation was changed to 2nd Medium Regiment. In Jan 1960 the sponsor requested that the Corps be known as 2636 2nd Medium Regiment due to the decision of the Montreal School Commission (RC) forbidding primary schools to have cadet corps. In Jan 1964 the sponsorship and affiliation was asumed by 2nd Medium Artillery Regiment and the Corps was redesignated as 2636 2nd medium Artillery Regiment cadet Corps. In Oct 1965 the Corps changed it's affiliation to 50th Field Battery and was redesignated as 2636 Corps de Cadets de la 50e Batterie d'Artillerie de Campagne. In July 1967 the Corps became known as 2636 Corps de Cadets du 2e Regiment d'Artillerie de Campagne. 15 May 1974 the corps was disbanded.
