History -
Judique Cadet Corps. Formed 1 Nov 1958 under the sponsorship of the Judique-Creignish School and Home Society, the Corps was designated as Judique-Creignish Consolidated High School Cadet Corps. The Corps affiliated with 2nd Bn. The Nova Scotia Highlanders (Cape Breton). affil.: 2nd Bn Nova Scotia Highlanders (Cape Breton), Dec 1, 1958.
This corps also began its service some forty-five years ago, as a school corps, at Mabou, Cape Breton . It was later to move to its current location, some 20 or so years ago, and draws from several locales in Inverness County; it is located at the Judique Community Centre.The corps in the process of a reorganization, and is commanded by Maj. Joe Tobin, former organizer of the Vimy Ridge Corps and who also serves in the Area Cadet Office of Maritime Command.
