 This Corps was formed 1 Jan 58 as 2611 Corps de Cadets du 62e Regt., Shawinigan Falls, Que. It was sponsored and affiliated with 62nd Light Anti-Aircraft Regt RCA. Eff 1 Sep 63 Corps redesignated C de C 62ieme Regt d'Artillerie de Campagne (Shawinigan) and eff 8 Oct 70 designation was changed again to C de C Legion Canadienne de Grandmere. Eff 26 Feb 74 change of sponsor and designation to Corps de Cadets Chambre de Commerce de Grand'Mere. Effective 9 Aug 78 change of sponsor and designation to Corps de Cadets Club Optimiste Grand'Mere Inc. D Cdts 351 message of 15 Apr 83 changed sponsor to Club Kinsmen de Grand'Mere Inc. Designation also changed to Corps de Cadets Kinsmen Grand'Mere automatically. Sponsor changed to Club Optimiste de Grand-Mere, and designation changed to Corps de Cadets Optimiste eff 22 Sep 92 (DCdts 5498 refers). Sponsor changed to Club Optimiste de Grand-Mere.
