History -
Originally formed 1 Sep 1956 as the 2582 Corps de Cadets St. Albert. affil.: No.2 Ordinance Battalion. In Sep 1958 the Corps was designated as 2582 No 2 Ordannance Battalion Cadet Corps. Then on Dec 1 1959 the Corps was sponsored by the Royal Rifle of Canada and it was redesignated as the 2582 Royal Rifle of Canada Cadet Corps and affiliation was with Les Voltigeurs de Québec. In May 1972 the sponsor requested disbandment of the corps due to a lack of interest on the part of the officers and a lack of cadets. Disbandment was authorized effective 31 dec 1972.
