Originally formed in 07 Nov 55 under the sponsorship of The Conception Bay South Regional High School and designated The Conception Bay South Regional High School Cadet Corps. affil.: Royal Newfoundland Regt , Nov 7, 1955 - Dec 31, 1956. The Corps became affiliated with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in 55. affil.: Royal Newfoundland Regt, Jan 1, 1957. In Feb 57 the High School was redesignated and the Cadet Corps became known as Queen Elizabeth Regional High School Cadet Corps and sponsored by same. Prior to 1970 the Conception Bay South Integrated School Board became the sponsor. The Royal Canadian Legion Br 50 became co-sponsor in 86 (without authorization).
DCdts Ltr 26 Jan 2000 states that the sole Sponsor is Branch 50 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
